link to database

I really need to link to my database in the order the
fields are in the database, currently when I link to the
database it inserts the fields in alphabetical order
creating more work for me as I have to delete the fields
and then insert them in the correct order.
anybody have some suggestions??

When you set up the custom properties link, instead of using Auto to set it up, try Selecting the fields in the order you want

Otherwise, you may have to put a number as the first character. Looks bad, but will always sort

Thanks The number thing is one idea I had to resolve this,
just wanted to see if there was a known way to resolve.
The manually selecting fields is what I'm doing now, and
with a totally new shape chart 13 pages and lots of shapes
on each page, selecting manually is a pain.
First I have to delete what it puts in automatically.
then link to my database, then delete the improper order
then select in the order I want, lots of steps, gotta be
an easier way...
