Link to Exchange Sever Address list in Access 2007 not working

When we establish a link from External Data\Import\More\Outlook Folder to the
Global Address List the linked table seems to contain records, but no data is
shown. Importing does not work at all, get error: "Method 'Value' of object
'Field2' failed. "

Links established in previous versions of Office also show blank records in
Access 2007, but continue to work in previous versions.
