Link to password protected excel workbook

I can easily create a link to an unprotected excel file but I can't do the
same for a protected file. Is there any macro or module that can allow me to
do this?Something that can automatically enter the password for me or maybe a
possible workaround that will allow me to open the workbook and import the
data and close the workbook. Any examples of code would be appreciated.

Excel file=C:\Reports\datafile.xls
sheet1
password=LOCKED
accessdb= HC

Hi,
what you can try - is to first open your excel sheet in excel via automation
(see online help of excel for open method - you can open protected sheets)
and then create link to it
