I'm trying to create links in a Word 2000 document to PowerPoint 2000
slides.
I have tried every method I could find on Google, including copying the
slide and pasting as special into the Word doc as per Microsoft.com. I
can't get any link to work. The problem seems to be that the link won't
point to the right file. The error message is always "Cannot open
specified file." But I can't figure out how to specify the correct file
so that Word recognizes the PowerPoint slide. I have tried the Edit
Hyperlink window and it just won't let me point to the particular files
that I want to use.
I have tried saving the slides as .jpgs and linking to those. Same result.
The only type of hyperlink I can make work is to another Word document.
