Have 3 MS Word 2000 documents, each is a chapter with footnotes starting at
1, that we need to combine into one document. Tried to Insert As Link so any
chapter revision would be rolled up to the master doc but the size of th
emaster is the sum of the sizes of the 3 individual chapters. When I make a
change to any chanpter the change is not rolled up. Seems like we really did
an Insert instead of an Insert As Link. How do I get the concept of 'linked'
documents to work in MS Word 2000.
Also the footnotes numbering is changed from Arabic (1,2,3...) to Roman
(i,ii,iii...)but seem to be sequenced across the entire master instead of by
each chapter (as expected). How do we get the footnotes to display as Arabic
any help is appreciated
