Mr Art
When I create a linked custom document property (to a Global name), upon
saving the document, the cell to which the link refers becomes corrupted.
Steps to replicated the problem:
Add a Global name to a cell with a short text string in it
Add a linked custom property to this cell
Change the text in the cell to a very long string (>400 characters)
Save and reload the file.
The cell's string has been truncated or changed to the name of the cell.
Has anyone else seen this problem? I am using Excel 2000. Has it been fixed
in later versions?
Some observations:
The problem does not happen if you use a local name instead of a global
name, but I do not wish to use a local name due to another bug (if you delete
the sheet containing the the local name, the custom document property retains
old value instead of saying '#REF').
Excel won't even let me create the linked document property if the cell
already has a long string in it.
