linked Excel files in Word: printout shows wrong files

Hello,

We've encountered a problem when printing out Word documents that have
numerous linked Excel files. A linked Excel file may appear to be pulled in
correctly onscreen, but in the actual printout, a different file shows up in
its place. The same problem carries forward when we print out a PDF of the
Word file.

The linked file in question is often one that is linked to other Word files,
which likely complicates matters.

Would anyone know of any ways to avoid this problem, or how to fix it once
it happens?
