Linked Excel worksheet in word 2003

I pasted an Excel Worksheet into a Word 2003 document. I selected a range of
cells in Excel and chose the copy command. I pasted it into the Word
document with the Paste Special command. I pasted it as a Microsoft Office
Execl Worksheet Object and selected the Paste link option. The link works
fine. When I right click on the worksheet and select the Update Link, the
worksheet updates the way it should.

The problems occurs every time I save and close the Word document. After I
open the document and I automatically or manually update the worksheet, it
narrows in width by about 2-3% and grows in height by 2-3%. This happens
every time I save and close the document. When I right click on the
worksheet and select the Format Object..., I go to the size tab and can reset
the worksheet to the original size with the reset button. How do I keep the
worksheet from changing size everytime the document is saved and closed?

I've found from experience that what you describe works best when the font
and font size are the same in the Excel and Word documents. If your Word doc
is all Times New Roman 12, your Excel data in Ariel 10 may not link
properly. I work around this by either changing the whole Excel doc to Times
New Roman 12, or at least creating a Times New Roman section outside my
Excel print area that refers to the data to be pasted.
