Linked fields cut/paste

We want to copy a task from project A and paste the link
in project B. (paste special paste link) So fine so good.
But if we want to move the task in project B from order
via Cut/Paste we are not able to do this without loosing
the link.
Does anybody has a clue have to do this?
Or a list of operations what you can do with linked tasks?

Hi Kurt

if you move the task in project B by dragging (click on row number, then
click & hold on row number & drag to new position) it should retain the
link - is this a viable solution?
