Linked file problem

P

Pat

When I copied and moved a worksheet to another workbook I created a Link. As
I do not want a link created I deleted the copied worksheet, but the Link
still remains. In Edit/Link there is no facility to delete the link, how can
I do this?

Every time the workbook opens it ask "Do you want to update to the Link...."
Which is an irritation to say the least.

I am using Office2000

Thank you if you can help.
Pat

A simple way if you think it's only one or two links is to
use the edit/find facility to look for a square bracket [
or ] (unless you have used a lot of them in your
spreadsheet!). Make sure you are looking in formulae as
well as values.
When you find the cell(s), use copy and paste special -
values to remove the link.

Hi Pat,
You can find the links with Bill Manville's addin FINDLINK
you can download the zipped file at
