"Linked Information" prompt when opening a Project file

I have Project 2003 Standard SP2 - stand alone.
When I open an existing file, I get a prompt stating that my file contains
linked information, and asking if I want to re-establish links. I've looked
under "Links Between Projects," and no other files are listed on either tab.
I haven't linked any tasks or other objects that I am aware of. I'm not
sharing resources between projects. What are the ramifications of selecting
either option to the prompt?

Go to the "Edit" menu and select "Links"
This brings up the "Links" dialog box where you can see the links.
This sort of link predates the Links between projects type of link and is
used in creating hammock tasks or cutting/pasting links between different
applications (word or excel for example).

In my experience, this sort of linking is fragile and should be avoided.
Unless you know you have some documents which are using the data from the
project (or vice versa) or you know you have hammock tasks in your project,
you should probably clear them out.
