linked spreadsheet wizard doesn't open

When I got to link an excel 2000 spreadsheet into access 2000 it doesn't give
me an error, but the wizard doesn't open. At the bottom of the screen in the
information bar it says link spreadsheet wizard, but there is not one open.
Does anyone know how I might fix this?

Try re-registering the EXCEL wizard file. Here is generic info regarding
this:

Re-register the following files:
msexcl40.dll (Excel)
msxbse40.dll (dBase)
mspdox40.dll (Paradox)
mstext40.dll (Text, CSV, tab-delimited))

Also, try re-registering this file:
Accwiz.dll

To re-register a DLL file,

1) Locate it (usually all these are in the Windows\System32 or
WINNT\System32 folder.

2) Locate the file regsvr32.exe.

3) Drag the DLL file's icon onto the regsvr32.exe icon.

Or run from Start | Run window (example):
Regsvr32 "path\msexcl40.DLL"

etc.
