linked table description missing

Hi,
I have recently linked some new tables from my backend into a frontend. The
tables have descriptions about what's in them in the backend. When I link
them into the frontend, the descriptions are not coming over with them. I
would swear that in the past when I have done this, the description came in
with the linked table just fine. Am I remembering incorrectly or am I doing
something wrong, or is some upgrade I've done changed the way this is being
done?

Please help.
