Linked Table Design Problem

R

Regi

I imported a table from an Impromtu database as a .CSV file. I then linked it
in Access. I'd like to change the index in the linked file. Access won't let
me modify the linked table. I've tried changing and saving the imported table
which is still in the database. No luck.
I looked at the Link Specification options in the Link tabel wizard but
Index is not given as an option.
How do I handle this?
Thanks

Thanks Brendan

Is there a format I should use so when I link the tables they have indexes?
I was using Imprumpto to Excel to Acces as an Import only. But that was
cumbersome.

When you say you've imported the data, where have you imported it to? Excel,
or another Access database to which you're linking from your first Access
database?

If the data's in another database, go into that database to change the
indexes. Otherwise, you're out of luck: Access cannot create indexes on data
in other formats.

I'm not sure that I understand the question. I don't know what 'Imprumpto'
is. Is it a database? Is there an ODBC driver available for it?
