Linked table errors from indexed sql server

I am trying to link to a 6mm row sql table. The table has been highly
indexed. I am having trouble linking. In access I get a message operation
failed, too many indexed fields in tbl_xyz.

An ideas as to the limit for indexing sql tables for Access?
