Kind folks:
I am using Access 97. I am working with a file I've been using for some
time now with no problems. The db is split into front and back end files. I
need to refresh the link to the back end file to add some new tables and
changes made to the back end file. (I've done this in the past using the
Linked Table Manager under the Tools --> Addins menu items.)
Today, I click on the Linked Table Manager menu item and nothing happens. I
assume the LTM is a wizzard of some sort. I used the addin manager to
search for the LTM addin file but only found "UTILITY.MDA" and
"WZCNF80.MDA" Neither of these addins will load. (I installed them, but
when I opened up the addin manager they did not appear in the "addins
available" window, so I tried to reinstall them again but continue to get
the same result. In fact, my "addins available" window is empty.)
I looked through Microsoft's KB but could not find anything about the LTM
not running or how to locate any files that might need replacing. Any help
would be much appreciated.
