Linked Table Wizard Doesn't Work

I feel real stupid. A while ago, I posted about a problem that I had. When
trying to link to external data using ODBC, the dialog to link would't start.
(Access 2003) Someone had me do something with Norton Antivirus and it
fixed it. However, I stupidly forgot what the fix was. Now I am in the same
pickle, I updated NAV. Does anyone know what the fix is to get the the
dialog to Get External Data, link tables using ODBC?

Perhaps this:

If you use Norton AntiVirus, disable the Office Plugin. (You'll find it
under 'Miscellaneous in Norton AntiVirus options.)

Ken,

Thanks so much for your response. I will do my best to document this so I
can remember it. One quick question, how long do posts remain here? I
searched hoping I would find your previous post to me answering this
question, but was unable to find it. Again, thanks so much.

Ken,

I am having the same problem - MS-Access does not give me the option to link
to ODBC. I am not using NAV - I do use AVG & ZoneAlarm.

Interestingly, my menu option for Add-ins is disabled as well (could this be
related?)
