Hi,
I'm running Access2002 under WindowsXP and have an
application with linked tables to an SQL server. The
application was converted out of Access97 without any
problems, whereby the linked tables in Access2002 can be
opened. However, when linking a new table out of the same
SQL database, I get the following error:
"Some strange characters and then the text: is not a
valid name. Make sure that it does not include invalid
characters or punctuation and that it is not too long. "
Ofcourse the SQL tables do appear as dbo.tblTest.
If I use Access97, I can link to this table without any
problem. Via the standard conversion, I can save a test
file in Access2002 with the linked table. HOWEVER, I
cannot import this table in my application.
Any help is more than welcome ...
Thanks
Dirk
