Hello,
I have split my database such that a front-end (FE) and a
back-end (BE) have been formed.
After the database was split, I used the Link Table
Manager under 'Tools' and followed the instructions to
link the FE to the BE tables. I received a message that
the tables were linked.
My problem lies in the fact that a user can still make
changes to the tables in the FE and these changes will be
reflected in the reports. Am I understanding something
wrong? I was under the impression that once I split and
link the FE to the BE, users aren't suppose to be able to
make changes to the tables.
By the way, I didn't give the Users any permissions to
touch tables in the FE, and gave Users all permissions in
the BE and still the same problem.
I've gone through the forum threads and the FAQ. Maybe
I'm missing something else.
A response would be much appreciated. Sorry for the long
email.
