Hi
I have created an Access database which has several linked tables which are
in a SQL 2000 database. When i created the Access database there were 2
records in one of these tables, and I could see them exactly as expected.
Since then I have made some updates to these records (using their native
application, not Access) and I have created 2 new records. However, the 2
new records do not show in Access. They show in the native application (MS
CRM) and they show when I use SQL Server Enterprise Manager, but they do not
show in the linked table. The modifications to the existing records do show
in MS Access.
I have relinked all my external tables (several times).
I have set the time out on the ODBC connection to 0.
I have rebooted the client PC, where the Ms Access database resides.
I am using the SQL Server ODBC driver v 2000.85.1117.00.
I am aware that Ms CRM is not supposed to be accessed in this way, but in
this instance bypassing the security is desired, and given that the data
shows in SQL Server; and I intend the MS Access frontend to be only reading,
not updating data, I do not believe that the platform layer is contributing
to the problem.
Does anyone know how i can force the linked tables to return all the
records, including those added after the front end was created?
