Hi, not sure which group this should be posted in.
I have a document thatis a user guide for some software and section 3
goes through all the system functions using two level headings, like
this:
Section 3 (Heading 1, extra large)
1. Functional area 1 (heading 1)
1.1 Function 1.1 (Heading 2)
1.2 Function 1.2 (Heading 2)
2. Functional area 2(heading 1)
2.1 Function 2.1 (Heading 2)
At the end I have an Appendix D - Permission request form which is a
table where columns 1 & two repeat the information above
Every time I change section 3 I have to update appendix D.
Is thier anyway to link columns 1 & 2 in Appendix D to the section
numbers and names used in Section 3 so that it automatically updates
somehow maybe using tables and contents feature ?
