Linking and importing excel tables

I have both Access97 and Access2000 installed. While in
A97 on the tables tab I click the new button then select
Link Table and change the file type to be excel then
select the file. I then receive this error "The wizard
is unable to access information in the file 'filename'
Please check that the file exists and is in the correct
format." In A2k I try the same thing and get no error
along with no linked table. Any suggestions?

Not sure if this will help but sometimes you need to re-register AccWiz.dll.

A2003 Linked Table Manager - No Linked Tables Displayed

Re-register AccWiz.dll from the Access 2003 version (this usually happens
when you have multiple versions of Access on your machine):

Start ... Run
regsvr32.exe "PathTo\ACCWIZ.DLL"
