linking data in OneNote 07

Greetings,

What a great program!

Is it possible to link data in OneNote. By Link I mean if I change the data
in one place it changes everywhere it is linked?

For example I was creating a note that contained an IP address. I have IP
addresses listed on another note. If I change the IP on one note, I would
love to change it from another.

If that is not possible is it possible to pull information out of a
database? Have a DB of IP's and link the DB data to the form?

Thanks,
Vince

NOOOOO, I guess I found the feature that prevents a great program from being
freaking fantastic!

Thanks for the information though!

No, this does not work.
But you could do the following:
- Put the address just on *one* page;
- everywhere in ON where the IP address would be needed, just insert a
link to this page.

In so far it's good to rememeber:
Put data in *one* place only. Avoid redundancy. Otherwise problems
with data getting out of synch are unavoidable.

No, a database cannot be linked directly.
But you could create a HTML-page which calls the data from the
database and link this "results/report" type of page in ON.
