Linking Excel Charts in PPT 2003

I am working on a presentation which draws on charts created in Excel.
Is there a way to bring these charts in to PowerPoint and have them
update automatically as I change the data in the Excel Spreadsheet? I
am thinking of the similar way you link Excel files into a Word
document. The Word doc always looks for the Excel file before starting
up and prompts you for updates. Any help would be greatly appeciated.
