I had some excel spreadsheets linked to my database, via
Access queries, which refreshed on opening successfully. I
then split my database, adding Code and Data as a suffix
to the name, and added user level security. I now need to
relink the Excel spreadsheets to the database using the
new name. However whenever I try to do this, by creating a
new query, it tells me that I do not have the correct
permission levels. I suspect that it is because I am
trying to reference the mdb file directly, rather than via
the shortcut. however if I try to use the shortcut it says
it is not a valid database file. Help!
