Linking FoxPro tables to Access 2000 produces incorrect characters

Hi,
I am using Access 2000 to link FoxPro tables. When I am
viewing the linked table in Access, the characters "å,ä,ö"
is converted incorrectly. Other strange characters appear
instead. Has this something to do with the codepage of the
operating system? Has anyone a solution to this problem?

Hi Peter!

Please Check if you have installed the Borland Database Engine. You may
select the language-driver to be used on the system in the 'BDE
Administrator' on the 'configuration' Tab under Drivers/Native/Foxpro.
If you do not use the BDE i think it schould be possible to configure the
language-driver (codepage) to be used by the foxpro odbc driver in the
windows-registry.

Do you link your tables dsn-less?

Greetings

Hi,
I use the odbc visual foxpro driver and creates a dsn
using that driver. I have stumbled across some information
that you can add the ForceCP string value to the registry,
but it does not seem to work. I have added ForceCP to Jet
2.x,Jet 3.x and Jet 4.0 keys.
