Linking Issues

Good morning, We currently have an enterprise project involving multiple
smaller projects. Right now I have the individual projects set up and then
rolled up to a master project that we open at our weekly update meetings.
Management would like to see issues across all of these projects. My thought
was to either have issues entered in the master project with a drop down box
to indicate the subproject or open an other project strictly for issues. If
I chose either of these methods is there a way to link an issue with a task
in one of the subprojects? Thanks, Ken

Unfortunately the short answer to your question is no

The nature of WSS prevents risks, issues etc. from being entered into
anything other than the active project workspace.

There may well be a customisation solution to this but sadly not a
configuration solution

Another otion is to use a reporting tool such as SQL reporting services to
provide the rolled up reporting you require and to enter the risks and issues
directly into the projects rather than the master project.
