linking Lotus tables using ODBC

I have several users whom can't get the right reports out of Lotus notes, so
they have asked me to do it by way of Access. This I didn't think would be a
problem I've this many time getting data from IBM's AS400 but I'm finding
that the tables and their relationships are not making sense and some of the
information isn't coming through. I have linked the tables and when I open
them most of the data is there but not all of them, ie: quoteID has nothing
but when I view it in Notes its there. So if I create a query and try to run
it it takes about 20 minutes and then when it comes up there is no data. Now
I am using Access 2003 on an XP pro system using NotesODBC 3.02 creating a
user data source called LotusNotes connecting to local replica of the
database.
Any suggestions or directions to references will be greatly appreciated.

Don't think I'll be much help, but a couple thoughts. I've had much better
luck setting up my ODBC drivers as System DSN instead of User DSN. On the
hierarchical connectivity chart ODBC is at the bottom so it will be VERY slow
on large tables (Lotus Notes tables are put together very strangely to begin
with). Truncated data sounds like a memo field in Notes being converted as a
text field.

Going to the IBM website I did a fuzzy search on
"Lotus Notes ODBC"
"Lotus Notes Microsoft Access"
"Lotus Notes Microsoft SQL Server"

and got some likely looking hits. Don't know your Notes version, but that
could also be a factor. (I understand that anything before v6 is very
cantankerous and v6 and after is just plain stubborn.) Hope that gives you a
direction.
