Can anybody please help.
I have used Outlook 2003 on an Exchange 2003 server for years now, always
under XP. Worked nice and smoothly, even when I had to move between different
computers.
I have recently had to buy a new computer which has alas come with Vista
Home Premium. So I set my Outlook settings identical to the ones that had
worked so well for so long on so many computers under XP and guess what? It
doesn't work. Outlook hangs when trying to connect to the server and no
matter where I search I cannot find out how to clear it. It's driving me mad!
I can access the internet fine; the host has applied all the necessary
patches on the Exchange server; the password is identical; Outlook 2003 is
compatible with Vista, and I can also access my emails via IE7.
This last point allows a solution of sorts, but is not the one I want
because I regularly relate back to archived emails on my hard drive.
Has ANYONE got a solution to this? I know I'm not the only one to experience
this problem but I cannot find a solution.
Any sensible help much appreciated - thanks.
