Linking Password workbooks

I have tried to read some of the topics on the subject, but I can't figure
out if there is a way to update a master spreadsheet that has links to
password protected workbooks. Each time the master is opened or re-opened to
update links it asks for the password of each spreadsheet. Thanks

It wouldn't be much protection if any workbook could retrieve values from cells
in that protected workbook.

Maybe you could open the "sending" workbooks first (you'll have to supply the
passwords), then open your receiving workbook.
