Linking problem

I have created a master spreadsheet that will be feeding
from many small spreadsheets that will be changed daily.
My master spreadsheet keeps inputting totals from an old
spreadheet that I have deleted. Excel says that the file
is not found, but somehow the spreadsheet is "remembering"
the old spreadsheet data. How do break this link for good
or delete this data from memory? Please help!

try selecting "update links" when opening the file...
