Linking Projects

Jen

I would like to create a form (possibly in Word or Adobe?) and then link it
to a database (possibly Access?) where information on the form can be
automatically updated into the database. Example: Form includes name, date
of birth, zip code, etc. I would like to have this information automatically
transferred into a database where I can later do specific
quaries/sort/searches.

Which would be the best software(s) to use for sucha function?

Thanks

This forum is dedicate to Microsoft Project, a scheduling software
application. You will get more informed results by posting to a different
forum such as Access.

In my humble opinion -- For a database you can use something like Microsoft
Access or mySQL. Access has the ability to create forms updating the
database directly, including forms that are available from the web.

mySQL would involve forms generated from a third application such as Visual
Studio.

Again, my opinion, both databases will interact with web based forms that
are viewable in a browser which precludes the requirement of additional
applications being used on the client machines. To do so invovles
technologies such as PERL, ASP, ASP.NET, PHP and the like. Again, there are
other forums where much better answers can be obtained.
