Linking Tables with Multivariate columns

I'm using Access 2007's new feature of multivarible look-up columns.
However, when I try to link to a table with such a column, the table fails
and gives a "The search key was not found in any record. (Error 3709)"

I assume it is because the hidden table that controls the multivariate
column is also not being imported. Anyway around this?

As I understand it, you have very little programmatic control over how
Access manages the underlying table.

If you want greater control, consider handling the one-to-many relationship
'the old fashioned way', by building your own table.

Good luck! Maybe someone out there has found a work-around...

I originally had it as a one-many table with a subform, but the multivariate
does such a nice job of selecting multiple items from a checklist.
Especially the user interface on the form and filtering capabilities.
Problem is I have multiple users and need to use linked tables.
