Linking text in cross-reference fields to form fields

Lori Kaufman

I got the linking between form fields and cross-reference
fields working. However, I noticed that if I enter three
words into a form field, not all three words are displayed
correctly in all of the cross-reference fields. In my
form, two of the fields display the last word in black
text when the other two are in white text (the way all
three words should be). In another instance, the first
two words are bold (which is what I want) and the third
word is not bold.

Why do these fields do this, and how do I fix it?

Thanks,
Lori

Hi Lori,

You can control the way text is displayed by a cross reference field by
adding the \* CHARFORMAT switch inside the closing field delimiter } and
then apply the desired formatting to the R of REF.

Please post any further questions or followup to the newsgroups for the
benefit of others who may be interested. Unsolicited questions forwarded
directly to me will only be answered on a consulting basis.

Hope this helps
