I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask this but here goes.
Let's say I have a folder of JPGs and I also have document that is an index to the photos containing the file names of the photos with a description of each.
What I want to do is create links on the index document to each photo so that I can search the index, click on the photo name and have it open that photo.
At present all I can do is search the index, copy the particular file name then go to the photo folder and paste the file name into the search box to find and open the JPG.
As there are almost 2000 photos it's obviously not practical to link each one individually so perhaps some kind of macro would be suitable. I'm not even sure which Office application to use if any.
Can anyone suggest a method for doing the above.
