Linking to Activities Tab - Contacts 2007

Recently upgraded fromm 2003 to 2007.
In 2003, there was a facility, within the Activities Tab of a Contact, to
link a a file. This was very useful to associate say a Word or Excel file
with a contact.
I cannot find a Link command in 2007 - is there another way to do this?

you could like contacts to other outlook items... or use the journal to link
to other docs then link that to a contact. Outlook 2007 still supports it
but hides the linking field - you can enabled it in tools, options,
contacts -

Thanks Diane. I had already un-hidden the linking field. I am using the
Attach File command in the Contact record to attach non Outlook files, but
they appear in the Notes panel in the General Tab, and without any notation
(date, etc.). Using Journal would be way to ponderous. Any other way to get
them into Activities?
Also - related question: When I open a new incoming email, is there a way to
see (without going to the contact record and checking Activities!) if it has
automatically linked to a contact? I sometimes receive mail from a contact,
but they maybe using a different email address.

You are attaching files to the contact - this is not recorded in linking. If
you need dates etc, you'll need to type that information when you attach the
file.

Double click on the email address and see what pops up - if contacts, then
it will be linked automatically. If you get the simple address form, you'll
need to add the address to the sender's contact as address 2 or 3.
