Linking to linked tables?

Is it possible to link to tables in another database that
are linked from a third database? Or, do I have to link
directly to the third database?

If you use File... Get External Data... Import to import a linked
table, you import the link (not the table) and you now have an
independent link to the same backend. The database from which you
imported ceases to play any role.

I didn't know that (not that I've ever tried). So you are saying, it is not
possible to link to a link?

I haven't tried it either. Can't see the point really. I guess if you
don't know where the third mdb is...

What I think he's saying is that Access is smart enough to figure out
that you are trying to link to a link, and just sets up a direct link
instead.
