linking to Microsoft Project files

I'm an Access developer with no experience of Project. I have a series of
M/soft Project files that are updated on a regular basis and have data
(listed under standard headings) that I would like to link - or, if not
possible, import - into a database table.

Can anyone tell me if there is an easy way to do this? Alternatively, I
would appreciate any pointers if I have to create some sort of automation
code.
