linking to Outlook contacts. can't update contacts thru Access

hi! thank you for readin my post ^_^

i linked a table from Access to the contacts of Outlook.
when i updated fields in outlook, the table in access was
also updated automatically with no problem. however, when
i updated some fields in access, the contacts in outlook
was not updated. moreover, when i tried to create a record
in access, i can't input anything into the field "Display
name". outlook also can't regconize the email i entered.
can someone please help me?
