Linking to web address from mail message

I am using Outlook 2000. When ever I click on a web link within a message in
my in-box, instead of opening the link, it brings up a set-up and install
screen for a program already installed on my machine. Is there a way where I
can set Outlook to default to IE7

Which setup starts to run then? It sounds to me that there is an issue with
that application and tries to repair itself. I think if you'll troubleshoot
that application your issue will go away as well but without any details,
it's hard to tell or give any specific guidance.
