Links (and text) disappears when I publish.

Links (and text) disappears when I publish.

I have a strange thing happening. I have some hyperlinks that disappear
after publishing. Let’s say I make a word into a hyperlink to another page
on my site. I save the change and publish the site. When I view that page
over the www the word that is the link disappears. It’s not just not showing
up with a blank space the size of the word, but the word itself is gone.

Any ideas?

Hmm. I checked your source code and like you mentioned there isn't even
code for these "invisible links"

You could try publishing to overwrite all exisitng files?

Or it could be possible that your server's time date function is out of wack
and it is not letting you replace current pages with what is see's as old
date pages. - This probalbly isn't the problem though. Try checking your
own system date and time as well. Make sure it's right.

If date and time are correct try the overwrite publish as mentioned above.

You could also wait for better help :) than mine :)

Thanks,
I've been trying for several days, I delete the page from the server and
re-publish. I'm at a loss. Infact, I tried to ad some wording (link) on
the shared boarder and the same thing happened. There was nothing there when
I viewed online. Other changes show up so I know the pages are updating.

You are using a DWT
Make sure what you are adding is in the editable region
-also make sure you don't have any broken tag pairs
-last thing I see in the editable region is

<p><big><strong><font color="#800080">
Note: A portion of the proceeds from all sales goes to<a href="camelot.htm"> Camelot for Children.</a></font></strong></big></p>
<p align="left">

PS

Why do you have an empty hidden paypal form in your DWT non editable region
starting w/
<form action="https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr" method="post">

as far as the payal for, I have no idea.

On http://www.classycruisersclub.com/forms.htm about 3/4 of the way down you
see " - This form can be used to advertise your business in our newsletter.
- This form is used to place a classified ad in our "Classified Section"

Just before these is where I am trying to add the link.

DUH, I know what a DWT is. Sorry about that. Anyway, my problem is
happening both in the shared boarders as well in the main document area on
individual web pages.

OK, I don’t know what it was happening. Here is what I did ad it solved my
problem.

I deleted the web pages that I was trying to link to and recreated them.
That worked, I don’t know why but it did.

Thanks for all the help.
