Links between contacts and mails

I would like to see when opening a contact the history of the mails that it has sent or received. How is it possible? Is there a direct link between contacts and mails, other that searching for the actions related to the contact through the whole data base? Thks

There seems to be something related to what you're looking for:

In Outlook 2003, use the smart tags to open the contact from whom you've
received email, go to the "Activities" tab, and look up any details such
as "Email", etc. That seems to show atleast the email sent to that
contact that exists in any of my folders.

I haven't read up on what the activities tab is capable of, but it seems
like a starting point.
