Not sure if this is a Windows 2003, Citrix, Terminal Server, Internet
Explorer 6 or Outlook 2003 issue and it's a strange one. On our
Citrix/Terminal servers, the following style of links don't work:
www.brightsidetrust.blogspot.com
When a user clicks on the link, IE tries to open up:
http://"www.brightsidetrust.blogspot.com"/
Obviously this doesn't work. However, if a FQN version is used, then it
works.
http://www.brightsidetrust.blogspot.com
Also copying and pasting the first link into IE also works.
The original link works outside of Citrix so it's not the email that's
malformed. The question is, what is adding those %22 (which are quote
characters) into the URL when opening up IE? My suspicion is that it's a
file association maybe or a similar mechanism and "%1" has been added (or
something like that) whereas it should just be %1. But that's a wild guess.
Any advice appreciated.
Cheers, Rob.
