Links from Excel to Word

Suzy

I have linked certain areas of Word (2002) document from
Excel by:
In Excel: Copy (from Excel)
In Word: Edit, Paste Special, Paste Link, Unformatted
Text.

However, as a test (these files will be saved by the User
and then emailed back to me with the appropriate info in
Excel updated in Word), I emailed the files to myself,
but I can't get the document to update, if I make any
changes to the spreadsheet.

Hi Suzy,

Well, the first thing I'd have to ask myself is: is the link
still correct?

Press Alt+F9 to toggle on the field codes and look for the
LINK field(s) that maintain the links to the Excel info.
Check the path for the Excel document. Is it the same as
where you have saved the Excel spreadsheet?

If not, if you type in the correct path, press F9, then Alt+F9
has the information updated as it ought?
