Links in Outlook 2k3 messages not working now!

Hi, all! Using Outlook 2k3 (Exchange back-end) on boxes with XP/Pro SP2
latest patches...

I have a user whose hyperlinks in Outlook 2k3 messages suddenly started
popping up a file dialog titled "Locate link executable" when he clicks on
them. IE6 settings and Outlook settings look fine; HTML/HTM file types set
correctly, and hyperlinks on webpages work fine. Searches of TechNet, MSDN,
KB, Google, and Dogpile turn up absolutely NOTHING!

Anyone seen this before? Suggestions on fixes? Thanks much for any
suggestions!
