Links - Modifying the Source

Suppose I copy some text from a Word doc somewhere on my computer and paste
it to a ON page, creating a link to the source doc.

Now suppose I either:

1. Move the source doc to a different folder, or

2. Rename the source doc

Does ON update the link? Or is that up to me?

copying text from a Word doc and creating a link are 2 different processes
(actions). why do both?

changing the source location of the link external to ON breaks the link.
moving paragraph and page links within ON does not break the links.

experiment with it and see for yourself.
