Links pasted into HTML format email should be clickable like they.

I have work at Microsoft for 7 years as a usability engineer, my alias is
bobedm. Whenever I try to email a link to something of relevance, be it a
web site or share path, it doens't work in HTML formatted email, which
unfortunately, is the default for Outlook. When someone asks me for a file,
I'll reply (thereby defaulting to their originating format which is usually
html) and paste the link. The link isn't clickable, nor does Outlook make
it possible to make it clickable by hyperlinking. I am forced to switch to
plain text and then to RTF to make the link clickable. 1) I should be able
to switch to RTF directly from HTML and not go through the plain text phase.
2) the links in html mail should simply be clickable by default. It seems
pretty obvious to me, and I'm sure there are myriad lame but technically
sound reasons for not making this simplest of user experiences right, but
please fix it.

Try typing a space after the link. That should force Outlook to recognize
the end of the link and perform the automatic formatting necessary to
generate the <a> tag in the message's HTML source.
