Links to List of Figures

I've been given a document that has a list of figures where the hyperlinks
work correctly and bring to the figures. However, with these figures are a
list steps that list the figure name at the top of the table. These names are
also linked to the figures names/captions. Some of them work and some don't.
I toggle to look at the field for these links, and see REF numbers. I want to
change these REF numbers so they correctly link to the figure captions.
However, for the life of me cannot figure out how to see what REF number is
assigned to each figure caption. Can someone please tell me how to make these
links work?

Since I typed this question, I figured out that what I wanted to do was
create cross-references. If anyone is interested, I first placed the cursor
where I wanted the link to be. Then I went to Insert > Reference >
Cross-reference. From there I picked a Figure as the type of reference, and I
was given a list of all the figures that already had captions. You get a few
options on how you want the text to read, and click Insert (which does not
close the dialog box, but the function is complete).

I'm guessing the REF number is randomly selected, although I still don't
know how to see a list of those references. Even though I don't need them
because I figured out the cross-referencing tool, it still would be nice to
see what the numbers are. Does anyone know if that's possible.

I now see I should have labeled this question "Links to Figure
Captions"...sorry about that. I wish I could edit that but I guess I can't.
But if this helped out just one person out there who was in a similar bind,
it was worth it.
