Links to terms in Help don't work

J

John Dawson

I am running Office 2000. When I click on a linked
(defined) term in the Help for Word, Excel, and other
programs, the definition does not appear. The Help files
referenced by these links, for example xltip9.hlp, have
been installed on my computer, but for some reason the
links don't work. I'd appreciate any suggestions about how
to fix this.

Thanks,

John

Hi John,

The Office 2000 'show me' and 'definition' links were
disabled by MS to prevent a possible security issue.
You can, at your risk, restore the original .OCX file
from the CD as described in this article to have them
work.
