Links to word document opens in read-only

Hi,

When I click on a link to a Word document in Outlook 2007, it opens in
read-only. When opening the same document from the explorer, I have write
access. Is there a way to change this?

Are you opening the link from the reading pane or from an open message?

In both cases, the document is in read-only.
